Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Zed Components Ltd ("we", "us") handles personal information on zed-com.com. It is written to meet the notice requirements of the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, and the regulations under it.

What we collect and why
- Contact form. When you send us an enquiry we receive the name, email address, company, phone number and message you type. We use them only to answer you and to follow up on your request. Providing this information is voluntary and there is no legal duty to provide it, but we cannot reply without it. The form is delivered to us by email and is not stored in any other database.
- Live chat. If you accept cookies, a chat widget provided by Tawk.to loads on the site. Anything you type in the chat, and technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view, are processed by Tawk.to on our behalf so that we can answer you. The widget does not load if you decline cookies.
- Part number search. The search tool on our Search page is operated by ICSource. The part number you enter is sent to ICSource, and your browser also sends it your IP address. We do not see or store your searches.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider and the Sucuri web firewall keep standard server logs (IP address, time, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
- Web fonts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of the request.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal information.
Who receives the information
Information is shared only with the service providers named above (Tawk.to for chat, ICSource for part search, Google for fonts, and our hosting and security providers), each for the single purpose described. Some of these providers are located outside Israel. If you contact us through WhatsApp, LinkedIn or by phone, the terms of that service apply.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file stored by your browser. This site uses:

Tawk.to cookies are set only after you click "Accept" in the cookie notice. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for zed-com.com, after which the notice will appear again. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any business that follows from it, and are then deleted. Chat transcripts are kept by Tawk.to according to its retention settings and ours.
Your rights
Under sections 13 and 14 of the Protection of Privacy Law you may ask to review personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. To do so, write to eli@zed-com.com. You may also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and protected by a web application firewall. Access to enquiry emails is limited to the people who need them to answer you.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and the date at the top.
